I chose foreshadowing. "Four voices gave assent and- and then immediately afterwards gave quick surreptious glances at each other." I think this is foreshadowing because the people realize that this is going to be who they are going to be with for a week. I think when the story starts to get scary the people will remember back to the day when they first met each other. "For a moment a judgement showed in them- had there been anyone to read it." This shows foreshadowing because the to guys are sizing each other up. This might show up later in the story because they might talk about their careers in the armed forces or they might try to out do each other. " There was something sinister about it." I think this will play into the story because you can't really see the house so you could do something bad there without anybody noticing it. And the island is scary and the people are uneasy about it so it will probably play into the story somehow. "It was as though the mention of their host and hostess had a curiously paralyzing effect upon the guests." I think this will play into the story because I think the host and hostess will be the killers. Or they might never show up. Also I don't think that any of the guests know them personally. "This Mr. Owen must be a very different sort of gentlemen." I think that this will play into the story because none of the guests know him and they haven't even met him yet. He is a mysterious man who leaves direct orders and expects them to be obeyed strictly.

Again, some good insights. You've used some great quotes, too. Are they all from Chapter 2?
Better organization is needed to have a solid paragraph or two.
Reread the directions; you are missing some of the assignment directions and how to do the required format.
